Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Refers to Sharepoint site collections
Following error for host named site collection with url:
Following error in IE browser:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
1. Check if your site collection host is present in hosts file on:
c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
e. g.
127.0.0.1 myserver.bla.com
2. Check if web application has set certificate in IIS/bindings (if https 443)
If certificate is not set, no site collection of web application will be available. In case above, only ours site collection was not available, others were working.
